Jesus, CEO: Using Ancient Wisdom for Visionary Leadership by Laurie Beth Jones
“Do you sense you were destined to be doing what you are doing?”
“The feeling of destiny involves a key element, which a friend recently shared with me. He said, “Great leaders inspire others to the extent they inspire themselves.” It took a moment before his words made sense. When you are surrounded by that state of grace where nothing else matters except the feeling you have within yourself, that is your intersection with your destiny.
A woman I once knew had felt (and for a long time fought) the call to be a preacher. One day she recalled, “One thing kept me coming back.” “What?” I asked her. “Well, whenever I would stand up and start talking about the Lord, my lips would tingle. It was as if my cells were dancing because they were doing what they were meant to do.
If our cells contain DNA molecules that determine what we are supposed to look like, isn't it possible that at some level they also know- and can recognize- what we are supposed to act like? People get emotional goose bumps when something strikes them as a moment of truth and destiny.”
